About SEKISUI CHEMICAL GMBH
SEKISUI CHEMICAL GmbH was established in 1962 as the representative organization of Sekisui’s European operations to provide various advanced solutions through import and export activities between Sekisui Japan and the European markets.
In line with our fundamental philosophy of enhancing Customer Satisfaction, we are offering our products to various markets, such as Automotive, Chemicals, Electronics (Information Technology), Functional Materials and others. Our mission is to provide cutting-edge technology while adhering to the highest standards of corporate responsibility.
History
Founded in Japan in 1947 by seven samurai with the idea to use plastic to improve the life of all people, SEKISUI’s expansion plans extended to Europe from the 1960s onwards.
The first subsidiary in Europe was founded when SEKISUI CHEMICAL GMBH was established as the representative organization of SEKISUI’s European operations in Germany.
SEKISUI ALVEO AG was founded in Switzerland as the basis for further growth in Europe.
Further companies were established in the Netherlands, such as SEKISUI ESLON B.V. in 1974 and SEKISUI S-LEC B.V. in 1996.
Further companies joined the SEKISUI family: SEKISUI ALVEO BS GMBH and SEKISUI SPECIALITY CHEMICALS EUROPE S.L. in 2009.
SEKISUI DIAGNOSTICS (UK) LTD. joined in 2011, followed by SEKISUI DIAGNOSTICS GMBH in 2014 and SEKISUI PIPE RENEWAL B.V. in 2015.
SEKISUI EUROPE B.V. was announced as official regional headquarters of SEKISUI in Europe.
SEKISUI POLYMATECH EUROPE B.V. was acquired.

SEKISUI in Europe is able to contribute to safe and convenient urban infrastructures with products that are heat-, chemical and fire-resistant as well as with materials for use in water infrastructures and maintenance technologies.
The advanced technologies of SEKISUI in Europe increase the resolutions and responsiveness achieved by flat panel displays: Innovative adhesives and plastics are able to boost semiconductor performances.
